Jewellery and Small Goods Package in Gallery White Lacquer
Details
Everything needed for a jewellery counter or a small goods concession, where everything has to lock, in one delivery and one finish batch. Sized on our standard module so it groups, stacks and rearranges rather than being a set of unrelated objects.
Retail display is judged on how quickly it can be changed. A window that takes two people a whole morning to reset gets reset less often than it should, and a shop floor that has to be dismantled to change a plinth height stops being changed at all. Everything here is sized to a common module so it stacks and groups, and everything over 900mm is on concealed glides so one person can move it across a floor without lifting it or marking the boards.

Setting it up
It arrives flat packed with a hex key, a spanner and printed instructions. Fittings are cam locks into steel inserts rather than screws into board, so it comes apart for a move and goes back together square. Level it on the feet before anything goes on top, and check it with a level across both diagonals rather than along the front, because a gallery floor is almost never flat and a plinth that follows the floor is the thing everybody notices and nobody can name.
Specifying it
Buy the module rather than the piece. A shop that standardises on three plinth footprints can group them, stack them and rearrange them for years, and a shop that buys whatever looked good at the time ends up with a stockroom full of furniture that does not go with anything. Our footprints are 300, 400 and 600mm square, which group into runs of any length, and the heights are on a 100mm ladder so the tops line up when you want them to and step evenly when you do not.
