Display Riser 300mm Square by 400mm High in Gallery White Lacquer
Details
A solid block at 300mm square. A riser is the piece that stops a display being flat, and the reason most windows look better after somebody adds three of them.
A plinth is a simple object and almost every cheap one gets the same three things wrong. The panel is too thin, so the top deflects under a bronze and you can see it from across the room. The corners are mitred and glued rather than lock jointed, so they open after one move and the paint cracks at the arris. And there is no ballast, so a tall plinth with a light object on it can be knocked over by somebody walking past with a coat. Ours are 18mm on a braced internal frame, lock jointed at every corner, and ballasted at the base on anything over 900mm tall.

Setting it up
Arrives assembled and blanket wrapped. Stand it where you want it, level it on the feet, and take the wrapping back to the van, which the delivery crew will do.
Specifying it
Buy the module rather than the piece. A shop that standardises on three plinth footprints can group them, stack them and rearrange them for years, and a shop that buys whatever looked good at the time ends up with a stockroom full of furniture that does not go with anything. Our footprints are 300, 400 and 600mm square, which group into runs of any length, and the heights are on a 100mm ladder so the tops line up when you want them to and step evenly when you do not.
